Finding Solutions to Life’s Questions
Life events such as loss, relationship breakdowns or crises, employment issues and more can motivate people to seek psychotherapy. Many are also drawn to it when confronted by the feeling of being unable to move forward, or if they’re changing or questioning their sense of identity. Depression and anxiety are common and tough to get through alone.
There are many benefits to psychotherapy:
- Aids in helping you work through loss or trauma
- Promotes a deeper awareness and understanding of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours
- Improves tolerance of and boundaries with others
- Strengthens relationships
- Encourages you to rediscover your self-confidence, purpose and meaning in life
Different Sessions to Suit Your Needs
Counselling and psychotherapy are forms of talk therapy that can help us make sense of our lives. At our practice, you can feel comfortable to explore and reflect on any of the problems that have driven you to seek our help.
We offer short-term counselling for people who wish to focus on a specific problem for a brief period, usually 6-15 weekly sessions. If difficulties are more long-standing or complex, we may recommend a longer term or more frequent psychotherapy. This therapy is a dialogue taking place over a longer time period, often structured in an open-ended way rather than a set number of sessions.
